Naperville United Way is made up of local residents and businesses who volunteer their time, energy and support to answer the needs of our community.
Todd Peterson, a 17 - year resident of Naperville, volunteers his expertise and support to the Naperville United Way.
What is your role with the United Way?
I volunteer on the Community Awareness Committee for the Naperville United Way. As part of the committee, my responsibility is to help educate the community about who the Naperville United Way is and what we do. Our job is to engage more individuals with the Naperville United Way as donors, volunteers and partners. In 2006, I helped with the United Way’s campaign video that has appeared on NCTV.
How did you get started volunteering at the Naperville United Way?
About two years ago, I was approached by a member of the United Way’s board of directors to join the committee. My company – Leep Phrog Productions – specializes in marketing, event planning and video productions. It seemed like I could offer my expertise in helping to build awareness of the Naperville United Way. It was a natural fit.
Why do you volunteer for the Naperville United Way??
I think that the Naperville United Way really makes a difference in the community. The time and energy I put in helps those in need in Naperville. As a long term Naperville resident that is important to me.
