Park National BankContributions to the Naperville United Way are the most effective way to invest in our community and make positive, lasting change.

For this reason, Park National Bank is proud to support the Naperville United Way through an annual employee fund raising campaign and corporate gift.

Their successful 2005-2006 campaign earned the bank the Top Corporate Citizen Award from the Naperville United Way for their donation of $89,561.

For the past four years, Pepper Albrecht Erdmann, Marketing Product Manager at Park National Bank has helped to organize the campaign.

Why has Park National bank chosen to run a corporate wide campaign for the United Way?

Park National Bank is built on a strong community banking philosophy; the United Way provides us with a comprehensive way to impact all of the people living and working in the communities we serve, including Naperville.

Why has Park National Bank’s employee fundraising campaign been so successful?

I believe our campaign is successful because we make it fun with kick-off activities and contests, but also because we do a good job of explaining that with a donation to the United Way, you don’t have to choose who to help, you can help everyone.

Why do you personally give to the Naperville United Way?

I support the Naperville United Way because it is the best investment of my donation dollars. They research the issues facing our community and invest our dollars where they are needed most. Since joining the Naperville United Way Board of Directors, I’ve gotten to be a part of the funding process and I am impressed by the quality programming the Naperville United Way supports and the dedication of all the community volunteers.

The mission of the Naperville United way is to improve people’s lives by mobilizing the caring power of Naperville.

Since the opening of COSTCO Naperville in 2003, Chris Davis, general manager, has helped to organize the local campaign that has donated over $83,000 to Naperville United Way.

Why has COSTCO chosen to run a campaign for the United Way?

We are very committed to our community and feel the United Way is the best way to give back to the community that we work and live in. Our founder, Jim Sinegal, is an avid supporter of the United Way. It is part of the corporate culture of COSTCO to give back to the community.

Why has COSTCO Naperville’s employee fundraising campaign been so successful?

Our employees understand what the United Way does and the effect it has on our community. The United Way researches the needs of the community and seeks out the best programs were our donation will have the most impact. 99% of our employees participate in our fundraising campaign because they want to make a difference right here in Naperville.

Do you personally give to United Way?

Yes, I do. I believe in the work of the United Way. The United Way has touched our lives, all of us, in one way or another.

Investing in the United Way helps more than one person, one charity or one issue, because we support a broad range of programs that improve lives.
