Brad McGuire

Naperville United Way is made up of local residents and businesses who volunteer their time, energy and support to answer the needs of our community.

Brad McGuire, president of Jackson Moving & Storage, does just that. For the past six years Brad and Jackson have been responsible for moving, storing and installing the Naperville United Way?s annual public outdoor artwork

How did you get started volunteering your company?s expertise for the annual art event?

Actually, United Way came looking for me. They needed someone with experience in storing, moving and setting up big things ? that is just what we do as a company. I was very involved with United Way in Canada so when I purchased my company here in Naperville in 2001 it was a great way to give back to the community.

What is your role for Naperville United Way?

After I started working on the annual art event, I joined the Board of Directors of the Naperville United Way. Since being on the board I have worked on several committees and am currently on the Executive Committee for the Metropolitan Chicago United Way.

Why do you volunteer for Naperville United Way?

I am pleased to give to an organization were my efforts stay within the community where my business is and I live. I am glad that my unique skills and those of my company can be utilized for the community.

Naperville United Way is the most effective way to invest in our community to create positive, lasting change.
